As everyone knows, Pokemon are capable of manipulating spectacular amounts of energy; however, this unique and magnificent trait is not entirely due to the Pokemon's physical organ systems and adaptations, but also to a little-understood manipulation of antimatter and 'grid energy', a postulated energy field dividing the universe from a mirroring anti-matter universe.
In particle physics, antimatter is composed of antiparticles in the same way that normal matter is composed of particles. Thus, mixing matter and antimatter can lead to the annihilation of both, giving rise to high-energy photons (gamma rays) or other particle-antiparticle pairs. The energy field that divides the universe of matter from anti-matter is composed entirely of near-limitless potential energy that can be modified and controlled to suit a wide range of purposes.
Additionally, through entirely enigmatic means, Pokemon are somehow able to tap into this 'grid energy'. The particular usage of this energy is governed by the unique competency of each Pokemon, with most species possessing an affinity for specialized types of energy manipulation. For example, an Abra may utilize grid energy to open a wormhole capable of instantaneously transporting both living and non-living matter. Of additional interest is the fact that Pokemon seem to share certain usages of 'grid energy' in common with one another.
Following is a generic breakdown of what is commonly called the 'Elemental Affinities of Pokemon' in relation to their specialty of grid energy. DARK-This nocturnal group excels at using 'grid energy' for stealth-based purposes. Dark Pokemon are capable of creating frequency interference around them that masks their own bio-electrical impulses, or those of others as well.
