Pokemon Energy Manipulation

As everyone knows, Pokemon are capable of manipulating spectacular amounts of energy; however, this unique and magnificent trait is not entirely due to the Pokemon's physical organ systems and adaptations, but also to a little-understood manipulation of antimatter and 'grid energy', a postulated energy field dividing the universe from a mirroring anti-matter universe.

In particle physics, antimatter is composed of antiparticles in the same way that normal matter is composed of particles. Thus, mixing matter and antimatter can lead to the annihilation of both, giving rise to high-energy photons (gamma rays) or other particle-antiparticle pairs. The energy field that divides the universe of matter from anti-matter is composed entirely of near-limitless potential energy that can be modified and controlled to suit a wide range of purposes.

Additionally, through entirely enigmatic means, Pokemon are somehow able to tap into this 'grid energy'. The particular usage of this energy is governed by the unique competency of each Pokemon, with most species possessing an affinity for specialized types of energy manipulation. For example, an Abra may utilize grid energy to open a wormhole capable of instantaneously transporting both living and non-living matter. Of additional interest is the fact that Pokemon seem to share certain usages of 'grid energy' in common with one another.

Following is a generic breakdown of what is commonly called the 'Elemental Affinities of Pokemon' in relation to their specialty of grid energy. Please note that this table also serves as the most accurate scientific classification of Pokemon by combat abilities. The various observed uses of 'grid energy' will be classified as either: Biological Enhancement, Bio-electric Manipulation, Condensation, Displacement, Electromagnetism, Evaporation, Kinesis, Light Manipulation, Polarization, Frequency Manipulation, Spatial Distortion, Spectral Manipulation, and Vibration.

DARK-This nocturnal group excels at using 'grid energy' for stealth-based purposes. Dark Pokemon are capable of creating frequency interference around them that masks their own bio-electrical impulses, or those of others as well. They can also manipulate the visible spectrum, and are competent in spatial distortion as well.

FIGHTING-Use energy to increase glucose, metabolism, adrenaline, and sharpen physical senses. They also bolster the force of their techniques by adding extra kinetic energy to them.

GHOST-Most curious of all types, Ghost Pokemon seem to be the result of the electrical impulses that form the unconscious being held in place by 'grid energy'; these impulses then manifest as distinct personalities as the repressed tendencies of Pokemon during life. They use techniques similar to Psychic type Pokemon due to their nature, and may represent themselves by bending light, displacement of atmospheric material, or simple visual manipulation.

GRASS-Primarily a biological grouping, this group does not heavily rely on 'grid energy'. However, they are capable of manipulating various plant materials (such as cellulose) through displacement, possess small evaporation abilities, and can manipulate light.

GROUND-Often harness energy to vibrate solid particles, and are skilled in force augmentation via kinetic energy.
ROCK is a biological subset of Ground.

INSECT-Mostly a biological grouping, they may harness energy to manipulate frequencies.

NORMAL-Primarily an incredibly well-rounded group that focuses on kinesis, but is usually able to manipulate 'grid energy' in a wide number of ways to a low degree.

FLYING is not a true group, but rather a biological subset of various other groups based on the presence of flight mechanisms.

Although nearly every aspect of this phenomena is poorly understood, it is readily apparent that Pokemon are only capable of tapping into and using a limited amount of 'grid energy', before quickly feeling overexerted by over-reliance. Still, as with many Pokemon abilities, the amount of effort that can be put forth somewhat depends on the individual. Trainers tend to refer to this threshold for 'grid energy' access as a techniques PPs.

It is clear that, due to the immeasurable potential that these manipulations present, far more effort should be focused on discovering the mechanisms that Pokemon use to access and employ 'grid energy'.
